- Agassi won a total of 8 Grand Slam singles titles in his career. He is one of only five male players to have won all four Grand Slam singles titles and the only male player to have won a career Golden Slam (all four Grand Slams and an Olympic Gold medal)
- Agassi is the only men's player in history to have won all four Grand Slam singles titles while at the same time winning a Grand Slam singles title on each of the three main tennis surfaces: hard court, clay and grass (as the US & Australian Open used to be played on the grass as well)
- Agassi won an all time record 17 ATP Masters Series titles
- In addition to his Grand Slam and Olympic singles titles, he won the Tennis Masters Cup and was part of the winning Davis Cup team in 1990, 1992 and 1995
- Agassi employed a baseline style of play, but unlike most such players, he typically made contact with the ball inside the baseline ¡X exceptionally difficult even for professionals as this requires great reaction time. This was possible because of his short backswing and his extraordinary hand-eye coordination. These same attributes helped him aggressively return serves. John McEnroe, Jim Courier, and others have called Agassi the best service returner ever to play tennis. Many, including Brad Gilbert, call him the best ball striker in the history of tennis
- Agassi is married to tennis great Steffi Graf and the couple have two children, a son, Jaden Gil (born October 26, 2001); and a daughter, Jaz Elle (born October 3, 2003)
- He is the founder of the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation, which has raised over $60 million for at-risk and disadvantaged children in Southern Nevada. In 2001, the Foundation opened the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy in Las Vegas, a K-12 public charter school for at-risk children. He was awarded the ATP Arthur Ashe Humanitarian award in 1995 and 2001 for his efforts to help disadvantaged youth
- Attended the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy
- One of four children (brother Phillip, and sisters Rita and Tami) to parents, Mike, a former boxer who participated in the 1952 Olympics and introduced tennis to his son; and Elizabeth
